Montreal, March 26th, 2025 – BioAlert Solutions Inc., a Quebec-based company that has developed an on-site, and fully automated technology to effectively detect and monitor harmful pathogens in water, announces an oversubscribed CAD$2.5M financing round co-led by Cycle H2O and GreenSky Ventures with the participation of Fondaction and Spring Impact Capital.

We created BioAlert Solutions back in 2014 because we saw that Legionella outbreaks were a real problem and that no known solution existed to help control the presence of the bacteria in industrial and commercial cooling systems. We noticed that most operators and managers were totally blind to what was really going on in their towers, and it is still the case today! Our clients are pleased with the fact that, at all times, they can easily validate the effectiveness of their water treatment. They are minimizing operational efforts while reducing risk!

We spoke with my father-in-law about our idea. As a professional, he was executing maintenance and repairs on cooling towers and immediately told us that it would be revolutionary and the best Legionella management tool on the market if we could invent such a product. R&D, prototyping, getting grants, putting a team together and many uncounted hours to create the perfect recipe and today, I am proud of what we accomplished as a team.
